Championships and race series racing in North Carolina, with every upcoming race weekend.

The biggest amateur race in the world, and the one every American pro has ridden. Six days at Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Tennessee, 1,500+ riders across 36 classes, all of whom earned their spot through a nationwide qualifying process.

Maryland-anchored regional amateur MX series in its 5th season (2026), opening and mid-seasoning at Budds Creek Motocross Park, with rounds at Tomahawk MX (WV), Promisedland MX (MD) and Elizabeth City (NC).

Track-house points series at East Bend Motorsports in East Bend, North Carolina, an 8-round fall championship with over $60,000 in total prizes and a real carrot at the top: win your class and you race the entire 2027 Spring Series free, at every round, plus a number-1 plate and jacket. Riders must start 6 of the 8 rounds to be eligible and only the best 7 count, giving anyone who runs all 8 a throw-away round. Early rounds (through Round 4) run an afternoon timetable (gates 1pm); from Round 5 on (Oct 17) the whole day moves earlier as daylight shortens. Round 1 has already run and its date is no longer published anywhere, so the schedule picks up at Round 2 (Sep 5, 2026, the 26th Annual Gold Cup Race). The track is at 1036 Speedway Dr, East Bend, NC.

Large multi-round (15+ rounds/season) amateur motocross points series rotating across a network of NC/SC/TN tracks (Big Oak MX, Cathey's Creek MX, 221 MX, Top Gun MX, Muddy Creek Raceway, Iron City Motorsports Park, Travelers Rest Speedway/TR MX).

Long-running regional club points series (active since at least 2021) racing at multiple eastern-NC tracks; riders qualify for an end-of-season banquet/trophies. There is no single official master schedule page: dates go up on its Facebook and Instagram pages.

Single-track club points series at Elevation Motocross, a small family-owned mountain track in Brasstown, NC entering its third year of operation in 2026. Eleven weekend race dates from March through October, with Saturday kids/quads and Sunday big-bike motos.

Track-house points series run entirely at Daniels Ridge MX in Taylorsville, North Carolina. The track's all-lighted, full-sprinkler layout is what lets a 12-round series run Sunday afternoons straight through the Carolina winter into February. Riders must start 10 of the 12 rounds to qualify for series-end awards, and only the best 10 finishes count (race all 12 and your worst two are dropped; race 11 and one is dropped). $5 of every entry fee at every round goes into a payback pot split among the top five in each class at season's end, on top of trophy/merchandise awards through 10th. Daniels Ridge also runs a separate Saturday-night Spring-Summer series at the same track, a different points chase from this Fall-Winter one. The track is at 641 Daniels Ridge Rd, Taylorsville, NC.

AMA District 7's motocross division, a 501(c)3 non-profit running a 13-round 2026 season across MD/PA/VA/WV/NC on a shared Mid-Atlantic venue pool, including the Maryland State Championship round at Budds Creek.

One of four Victory Sports Racing series touring a shared pool of Southeastern tracks; a 20-round full-season schedule with a Tennessee State Championship weekend at Muddy Creek and further state-championship weekends shared with the BIG and ULTRA series.

AMA-sanctioned amateur motocross championship formed by several North Carolina track owners to crown 'a true AMA NC Motocross Champion in every class'; 15 rounds are scheduled for 2026 (Feb-Dec) across a shared pool of NC tracks, plus one probable SC round at 'Masters MotoPlex', which looks to be The Master's Motoplex in Gaston SC, home of the Masters Cup Series. Rounds 7 and 11 are at a venue billed only as 'VMP', with no town published.

The Tidewater Motocross Association (TMX)'s traveling race-weekend brand, a single points series that tours a different host track each round rather than owning one venue. TMX's own promo copy describes the 2026 slate as 'nine weekends across Virginia and the Carolinas,' but the nine venues actually locked into the 2026 schedule are all in North Carolina and South Carolina (New Black Ankle Raceway twice, North Carolina Motorsports Park (NCMP) twice (once as a full MX/SX double-header, once as a Supercross-only Saturday), JWTF MX, Cow Branch MX twice, Elizabeth City Motocross Club (ECMX), and a season finale at H5 MX Compound in Manning, SC), so the season stays in the Carolinas. Round 4 (NCMP, Aug 22) is a single-day Supercross date rather than the usual Sat/Sun motocross weekend, but it counts toward the same TMX points season. Rounds 1-4 ran Apr to Aug. Tidewater MX's RaceReady listings open a wider Thu-Sun window around each Sat/Sun race date to take in the practice days.

One of four Victory Sports Racing series touring a shared pool of Southeastern tracks; 13 of 20 scheduled rounds count toward series awards, opening with an AMA Pro-Am / Area Qualifier weekend at South of the Border MX.
